Finding event space for our clients in Newcastle is our core business, however being a venue finding agency our aim is to add value to all of our clients and venues that we work with. When i set Venyou up i envisioned running regular events for the venue and event industry in particular. Events that allow Venues and Event Suppliers the opportunity to showcase their product to key buyers in the region, gain new contacts and improve their own business moving forward.
We have began our Christmas campaign which is going very well and have confirmed some great events for our partner venues. We are also in the process of completing some big proposals for corporate events that our clients are planning late this year and early 2017 including a company birthday party which is exciting.
The Venyou platform is proving very popular however i know that to take it to the next level we are going to need investment prior to the growth stage of the business. I am working late at night getting the business investor ready, a lot of work involved but most certainly required to take the business to the next stage.
The first event that we will be holding is the North Easts Venue and Event Networking Event in October. An opportunity for venues, event suppliers and corporate bookers to meet in a relaxed environment after work and network! I am writing this bleary-eyed having woke up at 4am this morning full of ideas and excited about the event. I have a meeting today with one of our partner venues to hold the event and will hopefully have all the details finalised by the end of the week.
As well as the networking event i am also planning the North East Venue and Event Expo in 2017. An idea that i have had for many years, and now given the fact that the market is on the up i think its the right time to launch. I have a call again, with one of our partner venues on Thursday to host the event in their venue. This is pretty similar to the networking event but on a much bigger scale. Exciting times!
We are also still focusing on adding more venues to our portfolio. This week alone we added The Crowne Plaza and The Boiler Shop to the Venyou platform. The Crowne Plaza is one of the most sought after event spaces in Newcastle with multiple event spaces and can cater for meetings, seminars, conferences, training days, weddings, birthdays and a wide range of private events. We also included The Boiler Shop which i am hugely excited about. A one thousand capacity event space in Newcastle and operated by the team at Crowne Plaza. A lot of the details on the venue are still quite tentative at the moment as it has yet to launch, when it does we will let you all know.
